What is Silosset?
Silosset is fixed asset management software. It keeps one register of everything an organisation owns, tracks who holds each asset and where it is, runs stock counts, and calculates depreciation every month.
How does QR code scanning work?
Silosset prints QR labels that you stick on your assets. Anyone on your team opens Silosset in the browser on their phone, scans a label with the camera, and the asset opens, ready to issue, take back or count. There is no app to install.
Can I import my existing asset register?
Yes. Upload your register as an Excel spreadsheet and Silosset maps the columns to its fields, checks every row, and shows you what will be created before anything is saved. We can help you prepare the file.
Does Silosset support several locations?
Yes. Assets belong to locations and sites, stock counts run per location, and reports can be filtered by location. Most of our customers have a head office and one or more branches or warehouses.
Which depreciation methods does Silosset support?
Straight line, declining balance, sum of the years' digits and units of production. Depreciation posts monthly on a schedule, follows your fiscal year, and every period is kept per asset and exportable to Excel.
Is Silosset cloud-based or on-premises?
Both. Most organisations use the hosted service at app.silosset.com, where we run the servers, updates and security. Organisations that must keep data on their own servers can run Silosset on-premises under an annual licence.
